WAKAME
Dark brown algae (bleached to a bright green), has a fairly thick and flexible midrib that divides the frond into two parts, each of these has several other divisions as flat protrusions.
Utilities
- High in protein, iron, calcium, sodium and magnesium.
- It contains starch, sugars and Omega-3 and Omega-6, vitamin A, B1, C, B2, among others.
- Uses: Soups, salads, garnish, seasoning (when dried), stews, among others.
- Seaweed cultivated and harvested directly from the coasts of Baja California Mexico.
